Plastisol 1 Coat Specifications:

USE:

The 1 Coat ink range are used with screens coated with Murakami Diazo direct emulsion. The mesh is chosen according to the work to be carried out.

For multiple printing, we recommend flashing between each colour.

After suitable heating treatment, the printed SUBSTRATES at ambient temperature are touch dry (110degC for 7 seconds) and flexible.

Time for flashing and polymerisation are function of the following factors :

When a minimum flashing time is required, we recommend the use of Flash white.

Drying depends on the thickness of the ink film (the complete thickness of the ink film must reach the correct temperature),

the material, the drying time, the colour of the ink and the support (extreme case of white on black fabric) and the fabric composition.

When printing with 1 Coat ink on textiles which are fragile such as polyester, acetate ribbons,  nylons and lycras which bleed at temperatures of 130°C and above, 5 % by weight of catalyst can be added to the ink i.e. 1 litre of ink, add 50ml of catlayst. The polymerisation (low temperature heat curing) temperature may therefore be lowered by 10 - 20°C. In this case, the pot life will be about 8 hours. This can be heat cured through a tunnel dryer of flash dryer or heat press at the required temperature of 130°C.
